Hi, I’m Whitney, the owner and founder of Brightside Esthetics here in Huntington Beach, California. With over 13 years of experience as an esthetician, my passion and mission is clear: to help you feel comfortable and confident in your own skin.

My journey into esthetics is deeply personal. In my early adult years, I battled severe acne caused by a mix of internal and external factors, which left me with scarring and hyperpigmentation. It wasn’t just about how my skin looked—it was about how I felt in my own skin. That struggle fueled my passion to learn everything I could about skincare and pursue higher education and the most effective treatments. With the guidance of my mom, a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner, I discovered how to heal my skin from the inside out, pairing internal wellness with targeted science-backed skincare. That journey didn’t just transform my skin—it transformed my confidence and my life.

At Brightside Esthetics, I bring that same passion and dedication to every client I meet. Taking care of people isn’t something I picked up for a paycheck — it’s who I am, and it’s what I’ve spent my life doing. It’s why I can usually sense what someone needs before they ask, and why you’ll never feel like an appointment slot with me.

I fell in love with skin the second I started. I already had the heart and the mind for it — the science pulled me in immediately, but what kept me was watching what it does to a person when their skin finally changes. That’s why I’ll never stop pursuing higher education and excellence in what I do for you, because this work reaches further than skin.

Your skin isn’t separate from the rest of you — what’s happening internally shows up on your face. So I don’t treat what I see and call it done. I want to know why your skin is doing what it’s doing. I’ll ask questions, dig, and adjust until we get to the root of it, because a treatment that only covers the problem is a bandaid, and you’ve probably already been there, done that.

I don’t take shortcuts in my own life, and I’d never take one with a client. I’m in the gym almost every day, and it’s taught me the same thing I’ll tell you about your skin: nothing worth having comes from one session. It comes from showing up and doing it right, over and over. Whether I’m building a plan for your skin or waxing you, you get the same thoroughness. However you walk in — nervous, self-conscious, tired of trying — none of it needs explaining to me. I’ve been on that table plenty of times myself. Show up, and I’ll take it all from there.
